(hereinafter referred to as "Huada Electronic Design") brought another good news that the company’s dual-interface financial IC card chip of independent intellectual property rights achieved commercial application in Minsheng Bank, which is the first domestic chip adopted by Minsheng Bank on its financial IC cards.

The chip used on the financial IC card of Minsheng Bank belongs to the new generation of high-security, high-performance, and large-capacity CIU98 dual-interface financial IC card chip series independently designed by the Huada Electronic Design. This series of products is based on the 32-bit CPU design, can provide 48 / 80K bytes of EEPROM space, is compliant to ISO / IEC 14443 and ISO / IEC 7816 communication protocol, and can support international algorithms and state cryptography algorithm. After obtaining the China UnionPay, commercial cryptography (level two) and other qualifications, these chips readily passed the international EMVCo certification with their product security performance reached the world-class level. Many domestic manufacturers’ card products made with this chip series passed the PBOC3.0 test and can meet the requirements in financial, social security, transportation, health, education and other fields of application.

The Minsheng financial IC card designed under the joint efforts of Huada Electronic Design and its partner, HengBao Co., Ltd., a card manufacturer, is a UnionPay debit card, which not only has all the financial functions of the Minsheng UnionPay debit card, but also attaches a wealth of convenient services and a number of concessions. This indicates that the IC card chip under China’s independent research and development has been able to meet the needs of information security construction and the business innovation and development in the financial industry. At present, CIU98 dual-interface financial IC card chip products have been issued in large scale in a number of commercial banks, such as Bank of Ningbo, Shanxi Rural Credit Cooperative, and Bank of Yangquan with a total shipments of millions.
